Pelican Lake is a moderately shallow, 519-acre lake located in central Pope County near the towns of Glenwood and Long Beach. The maximum depth is 34 feet and this lake is classified as a bass-panfish lake. There are good populations of largemouth bass and bluegill in this lake. Other fish include walleye, northern pike, crappie and perch.
