Clams

Clam meat is one of the better baits for striped bass.  Make sure you know the regulations in the state you are fishing because there are plenty of regulations for harvesting clams.  With clam meat, you’re just using the meat inside the clam on your favorite bottom rig.  Anglers usually use a rubber band or some type of line or thread to tie the clam meat together so it doesn’t fall off the hook.
