Rain

The rain can actually help the fishing as long as you can put up with it.  With a light rain, the fishing is similar to cloudy conditions.  Striped bass may feed in the shallows or up at the surface for longer than they normally would.  If you’re used to having an hour to two peak bite in the morning before the sun gets high, that peak bite may last a lot longer.  You can usually find more striped bass near the surface on schools of shad as well under low light conditions.  When it starts raining harder, most anglers don’t want to put up with it, but the fish will still eat.
