Best Ways to Catch Lots of Striped Bass

It’s All About the Destination

There are so many awesome striped bass fishing destinations and some of them consistently produce such large populations of striped bass.  If you want to catch a bunch of striped bass, you need to go to these places that have so many striped bass available to catch.

Time the Saltwater Migration Just Right

The migration along the Atlantic coast brings so many striped bass that if you time it right, you can catch a lot of fish.  If you aren’t picky about where you go, just follow the reports and when you can get some time off, just go to the destination with the best reports.  If you want to go to a specific location, you have to make sure to time it right.

Use Live Baits

This is a no brainer.  You can catch a lot more striped bass with live baits than artificial baits.  In freshwater, shad are tough to beat and in saltwater, you have a lot of options, but lively menhaden (bunker) are tough to beat as well.

Fish the Low Light Conditions

Striped bass can and will feed throughout the day, however, there is usually a very good peak bite early in the morning and late in the evening.  Don’t rule out night fishing either.
