The barracuda is a very strong, exciting fish. Many anglers are often annoyed by the barracuda because it will tear up carefully prepared baits that were made for other types of fish. Barracuda Fishing in the Space Coast Area
Fishing for barracuda is good in this area from spring through early fall. Many of the fishing charters will catch barracuda while out on their charters, however, most of the time, they won’t be targeting them. It is just a bonus fish to catch out on the reefs and wrecks. Anglers use the Port Canaveral port to access the reefs and wrecks in the nearshore and offshore waters. If you want to target barracuda, they can be a very exciting fish to catch.

Barracuda can be caught on a variety of live and cut baits. Lively baits tend to work best because barracuda love the chase. If you choose to use lures for barracuda, some of the best lures are tube lures, crankbaits, jerkbaits and spoons.
