Fiddler crabs are one of the best baits you can use for sheepshead. Whether you buy them or catch them, it’s a great bait to have and if you can find some sheepshead, you will get plenty of bites with a fiddler crab. Rig them on a single hook with a split shot rig or drop shot rig and you are set.
Shrimp work great for sheepshead. You can catch sheepshead on pieces of shrimp, however, a live shrimp will work much better. Rig it on a split shot rig, drop shot rig or other good bottom rigs and you will catch some sheepshead.
