Buchanan Lake is a 929 acre mesotrophic (moderately fertile) lake located in east central Otter Tail County approximately 2 miles north of Ottertail, MN. The lake has a maximum depth of 42 feet with 90% of the lake less than 15 feet deep. Good numbers of northern pike and largemouth bass can be found in the lake. Walleye are present in the lake in low numbers. Other fish include bluegill, crappie and perch.
