Because it is a far boat ride just to get out of the bay and the maze of islands, you won’t find too many anglers going out to fish the deeper waters that are home to the pelagic species of fish. For most anglers that do go deep sea fishing here, they will be fishing the reefs and wrecks for snapper, grouper and a variety of other fish too. You have a lot more options nearby with Marco Island about a 40 minute drive away and Naples, Florida being less than an hour away in a car. Both towns will have a lot more offshore fishing charter options and you can get offshore a lot quicker by boat than you would from Everglades, City, Florida.
