Marco Island is the largest of Florida’s Ten Thousand Islands. This island is a very popular tourist attraction. There are miles of uninhabited islands, tons of wildlife and excellent fishing to go along with the white beaches and beautiful sunsets. Marco Island is not very large, but it is easily one of the top vacation destinations in all of Florida.
For the fishermen, Marco Island is one of those places that you have to visit at least once. The fishing is excellent inshore and offshore. The backwaters of some of the 10,000 islands will seem endless and you can catch snook, redfish, tarpon, trout and many other species of fish in the calm, protected waters. Take a look at our fishing tips page for more fishing information.
