Barracuda are common around the reefs and wrecks in the nearshore and offshore waters of Marco Island, Florida. There is a lot of shallow water in the Gulf of Mexico in this area, so it is a bit of a boat ride out to the deeper offshore spots where anglers usually target grouper and snapper, but will catch an occasional barracuda as well.
