Crayfish are one of the main food sources for largemouth bass, although, most anglers don’t use crayfish. Most bait shops don’t carry crayfish and we are sure that there are some special regulations on using them for bait in certain states, so make sure to learn the regulations before using crayfish as bait. However, if you can use crayfish, they will work. Most anglers fish them on a jighead, but you may have more success by keeping them off the bottom. By keeping them out of the rocks, weeds and any other type of place to hide, you keep them in the strike zone longer, which helps generate more strikes.
