Area Waters

Florence County is home to some very good fishing opportunities.  This area is on the border of Wisconsin and Michigan and it is a little more remote than many of the popular fishing destinations in Wisconsin.  However, on some of the popular waters here, you will still see plenty of people which means plenty of fishing pressure.  However, there are a lot of places to fish up here that allow you to get away from the crowds and catch a variety of different fish.

Menominee River

The Menominee River flows into Green Bay and forms the boundary between northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  For this page, we will be focusing on the part of the river that flows through Florence County, Wisconsin.  In this area, you don’t have nearly as many flowages as you will find down south as the river runs through Marinette County, Wisconsin.  You do have a lot of remote water up here with some areas that are more popular among anglers.

We have more information on the Menominee River and its flowages on our Menominee River – Florence County, WI Fishing page.
