Walleye


There are plenty of good walleye waters in this area.  If you want to come here to target them, you should be able to catch some fish and some quality walleye are found here too.  Take a look below to learn more about the better walleye waters in this area.


Brule River Flowage


Brule River Flowage is a 297 acre lake located in Florence County.  It has a maximum depth of 64 feet.  Fish include smallmouth bass, walleye, muskie, northern pike, largemouth bass and panfish.  According to the DNR, walleye and smallmouth bass are considered common in the lake while muskie, largemouth bass, northern pike and panfish are listed as present.



Emily Lake


Emily Lake is a 183 acre lake located in Florence County. It has a maximum depth of 43 feet.    Fish include northern pike, largemouth bass, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, walleye and largemouth bass are considered common in the lake while northern pike and panfish are listed as present.



Keyes Lake


Keyes Lake is a 195 acre lake located in Florence County.  It has a maximum depth of 74 feet.  Fish include northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, walleye, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and panfish are considered common in the lake while northern pike are listed as present.



Kingsford Flowage


The Kingsford Flowage Wi-Mi (491) is along the Menominee River.  It covers 491 acres and is located in Florence County.  It has a maximum depth of 32 feet.  Fish include walleye, muskie, northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and panfish.  According to the DNR, northern pike and walleye are considered common in the lake while the other species of fish are listed as present.



Patten Lake


Patten Lake is a 254 acre lake located in Florence County.  It has a maximum depth of 52 feet.  Fish include largemouth bass, walleye, trout and panfish.  According to the DNR, panfish are abundant in the lake while largemouth bass and walleye are considered common.  Trout are listed as present.



Pine – Popple Rivers


The 89-mile Pine River and its major tributary, the 62-mile Popple River, offer visitors a wild experience.  This river system is one of Wisconsin’s more remote river systems.  If you visit this river system, plan on seeing a good mixture of quiet waters that change to swift, rocky riffles, low rapids and even waterfalls.  The northern sections of this river system are known for their trout fishing.  The cool waters are home to brook trout and brown trout.  The southern section of this system is warmer than up north, so you will see other species of fish such as northern pike, walleye, smallmouth bass and panfish.


Pine River Flowage


Pine River Flowage is a 123 acre lake located in Florence County.  It has a maximum depth of 35 feet.  Fish include northern pike, walleye, smallmouth bass and panfish.  According to the DNR, walleye are common in the lake while smallmouth bass, northern pike and panfish are listed as present.



Spread Eagle Chain of Lakes


The Spread Eagle Chain of Lakes are known as a good largemouth bass / bluegill fishery with lots of other species of fish to catch too.  This chain is made up of 8 smaller lakes which combine to be a good-sized recreational area for boaters and anglers alike.  The lakes are beautiful and while they do get a decent amount of fishing pressure, you can catch northern pike, walleye, smallmouth bass in addition to the largemouth bass / panfish fishery.  While the walleye are not nearly as abundant as largemouth bass in the chain, there is a fishable population here and many anglers do fish for walleye on the chain.  To learn more about the individual lakes, take a look at our Spread Eagle Chain of Lakes Fishing page.



Twin Falls Flowage


Twin Falls Flowage is a 570 acre lake located in Florence County.  It has a maximum depth of 50 feet.  Fish include muskie, walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and panfish.  According to the DNR, all the species listed are common in the lake except for muskie, which are listed as present.
