Sebring is a smaller city about an hour and a half from the Walt Disney World area. There are several smaller cities that surround Sebring that help make up this featured destination.
There are many smaller lakes in the area that are home to some very good fishing for largemouth bass, bream and crappie. If you’re looking for a larger lake, Lake Istokpoga is close to town and north side of Lake Okeechobee is about an hour away. The area’s smaller towns combine to make a nice fishing vacation destination in south central Florida.

Largemouth Bass
Lake Istokpoga, Lake Okeechobee and the numerous smaller lakes in the area are known for their excellent bass fishing. Anglers catch good numbers of them with some very big fish mixed in as well.
Secondary Species of Fish
Crappie, Bream (Bluegill & other similar Sunfish) & Catfish
You can find plenty of lakes in the area if you want to fish for crappie, bream and even catfish too. The crappie fishing is popular during the cooler months of the year, while anglers do well with bluegill and other sunfish in the spring through early summer months.
