Aroostook County
Aroostook County is the largest county in any state east of the Mississippi. This part of Northern Maine is comprised of many smaller towns that are home to beautiful rivers, streams, lakes mixed in with plenty of parks, restaurants, shopping destinations and natural attractions. The Rangeley Lakes region is home to 6 large lakes that are known for their fishing. There are also hundreds of smaller lakes in the region with miles of streams to fish as well. Boating, hiking and sight-seeing is also popular in this area. In the winter, skiing is very popular at Saddleback Mountain Ski Resort.
