Black Sea Bass Fishing in Chesapeake Bay
Black Sea Bass are often found around the hard bottom structure in the bay. Anglers usually catch them around these structures in the middle and lower Chesapeake Bay. There are usually large numbers of small black sea bass in the bay, so it can be frustrating catching so many smaller fish, however, some big sea bass will move into the bay as well. You can find plenty of sea bass in the bay from spring through fall.
Sea Bass Fishing Tips
Sea bass are easy to catch. Anglers use small baits such as cut bait, shrimp, squid, jigs and soft plastics. Fish near the bottom around reefs, wrecks and jetties and you should be able to find some fish.
