Fishing Tackle | Hard Baits | Crankbaits
Shallow diving crankbaits are crankbaits with short lips. The shorter the lip, the shallower the lure dives when it is retrieved. Most shallow crankbaits will run anywhere from 1 to 6 feet. Crankbaits are an excellent search bait. They resemble a fish, have lots of action, and those with rattles make tons of noise.

Rod, Reel & Line
Shallow Diving Crankbaits are used mostly on baitcasters but you can break out your spinning gear too. There are many different sizes, so you may be using light tackle with 4 to 6 pound test line while targeting smaller bass in ponds or going with heavy tackle while targeting big largemouth bass, northern pike or even muskie.
