Minnows work well for white bass, although, the smaller minnows tend to work best. Minnows in the 3 to 4 inch range will work well, but you won’t get nearly as many bites once you start going bigger. Fathead minnows and smaller shiner minnows will catch plenty of white bass. With most white bass in the 7 to 12 inch range, choosing the right size minnow is important to having a successful day on the water.
