Welcome to our Wabigoon & Dinorwic Lakes Fishing Home Page

These lakes are popular drive to lakes with very good fishing for a variety of fish.  Its murky waters warm quicker in the spring and because these lakes are shallower, they are easier for most anglers to fish.  The fishing can often be very good all the way through summer without having to fish deep, main lake structure like you would on many of the lakes in Canada.  Fish still relate to the deeper water and the offshore structure out on the main lake, but there are still so many fish shallower off the points, islands and in the bays, that it’s just an easier body of water for many anglers to figure out.  It’s a great destination for action with some trophy fish too.

Primary Species of Fish

Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch & Smallmouth Bass

These lakes are both good for action and trophy fish.  If you target walleye, pike, smallmouth bass or perch, you should be able to have plenty of action.  There are good numbers of these species of fish and if you choose to fish with live minnows, you will most likely run into all 4 of these species of fish while on the water.

Secondary Species of Fish

Muskie, Crappie

Muskie are crappie are less abundant, but anglers target both species of fish here and have success.  The muskie anglers usually get plenty of action from bigger pike as well, which is a nice bonus while muskie fishing.  The crappie anglers usually catch plenty of perch, some walleye and bass too while targeting them.
