Freeport is located on the south shore of Long Island in New York. This area is not a
major tourist destination, but we decided to list this area because there is some very
good fishing here for a variety of saltwater fish such as striped bass, tuna, shark, cod,
bluefish, flounder, sea bass, mackerel and more. You will also be able to find a few
fishing charters that operate out of Freeport, New York.
