Cape May is a city located at the southern tip of the Cape May Peninsula in New
Jersey. This is where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. Cape May is known
as a tremendous location for bird-watching. With over 400 species of birds that migrate
through Cape May, it is arguably the top bird-watching area in the entire northeastern
part of the United States. Cape May is also known for its excellent beaches, the many
Victorian structures, its seaside resort community and some excellent fishing action in
the Delaware Bay or offshore in the ocean.
