Bridgeport is the most populous city located in Connecticut. With more than 130,000
people, this city is a part of the labor market area for New York city. Bridgeport is not
considered a tourist destination, which you will notice by taking a look at the lack of
listings in our lodging section, but there are a couple of fishing charters that fish the
Western Long Island Sound and they operate out of Bridgeport. The fishing can be
very good here for striped bass, bluefish and flounder.
