Welcome to our Provo River Fishing Home Page

The Provo River is a popular river for fishing and floating in the state of Utah.  This river begins at Wall Lake in the Uinta Mountains and ends at Utah Lake in Provo, Utah.  It flows for around 70 miles and it is divided into 3 different sections: upper, middle and lower.  The upper section has two forks.  They are called the North Fork and the South Fork.  The South Fork follows the Mirror Lake Highway, which then empties into Jordanelle Reservoir.  After the reservoir, it then runs through Heber City, Utah and empties into Deer Creek Reservoir.  Then, it makes its final journey down the Provo Canyon through Provo, Utah and into Utah Lake.  The Provo River is a very popular among trout anglers.  The fishing can be very good for brown trout and rainbow trout.  There is also a very good white bass run in the lower section of the river near Utah Lake.
