Welcome to our Orlando, FL Fishing Home Page

Orlando, the home of Walt Disney World, is arguably the best family vacation destination in the entire world.  Because of Walt Disney World and the other area attractions, most people are quite busy on their trip to Orlando.  Don’t forget to schedule some fishing time when you come down here.

Lake Toho, Walt Disney World and the Butler Chain are just some of the excellent places you can go bass fishing in the Orlando area.  If saltwater fishing is more your thing, you aren’t too far from both coasts either.

Primary Species of Fish

Largemouth Bass

Largemouth bass are king here and on many of the lakes, you will catch lots of bass in the 2 to 3 pound range with bigger fish up to and above 10 pounds.  Most anglers prefer to fish with live shiners while down here since the Florida strain largemouth bass can be difficult to catch on artificial lures at times.

Secondary Species of Fish

Crappie, Bream (Bluegill & other similar Sunfish)

Many of the area lakes also have good fishing for a variety of panfish.  Crappie (called specks down here) and bream are available in good numbers with lots of big fish too.  Bream are just a variety of different sunfish that are similar to bluegill.  Pumpkinseed and shell cracker are a couple examples of the different types of bream you will find in the area lakes.
