Walleye

The walleye fishing might not be what it used to be in this area, however, there are still plenty of waters available where you can target walleye.  The Minocqua Chain of Lakes is still going through its re-stocking program with special regulations so anglers can’t keep any walleye from the chain.  While the Minocqua Chain recovers, anglers have turned to other lakes in the area to fish for walleye.  The Three Lakes Chain gets a lot of attention from walleye anglers as well as the Rhinelander Chain of Lakes.  There are plenty of other lakes in the county that have fishable populations of walleye.  However, the bass fishing has gotten much better in the area, so plan on catching more bass while walleye fishing than you would have 10 years ago.  Take a look below to learn about the best walleye waters in Oneida County, Wisconsin.
