Welcome to our Naples, FL Fishing Home Page

Naples is a beautiful town with many homes lining the Gulf of Mexico beaches.  With miles of white sand beaches, fine dining, shopping, beachside resorts and hotels, and plenty of outdoor activities.

Naples is known for its excellent backcountry fishing for tarpon, snook and redfish, however, there is also some very good surf fishing to go along with offshore fishing in the Gulf for grouper, snapper and many other types of fish.  The Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park is popular among shore anglers and boaters use the pass to access the Gulf of Mexico.

Inshore Fishing

The tides play a huge role in whether or not you will catch fish inshore. Moving water is key for most species of fish and the slack tide usually provides the worst fishing conditions for most fish. In Naples, you can expect to be fishing mangrove-lined shorelines, canals, bays and the creeks leading into them. Some of the other fish that you may catch inshore are sheepshead, ladyfish, tarpon, pompano and jack crevalle.

Nearshore Fishing

You may also want to check out Delnor-Wiggins State Park if you are looking to do some shore fishing. Fishing is available on the beaches of Naples and you can definitely catch some nice fish, but your best bet from shore may be from Naples Pier. From the pier, snook are popular among many anglers, but you can catch mangrove snapper, sheepshead, flounder, pompano, cobia, tarpon, sharks, kingfish, spanish mackerel and others. For those of you that are renting a vacation home on the water, you may want to try fishing right off the dock in the canals. Fishing can be very good right from your dock, especially at night.
