Sun

The sun will help warm the water in the spring and some of the best fishing can actually be during the afternoon to evening and on sunny days, the fish will usually still bite.  As summer approaches, sunny days will most likely not be your friend, however, if you’re fishing murky water, the sun doesn’t make the fishing as difficult as it does in clear water.  Low light conditions are usually best during the open water fishing season, but if you can’t get out on the water during those times, don’t let the sun detour you from spending some time doing some muskie fishing.  Just know that when the sun is high in the sky, it usually pushes muskie deeper or tighter to cover.  The spring time is usually an exception to this.
