Largemouth Bass

Marcell, Minnesota has some good largemouth bass fishing up here, although, most anglers do not target them.  The bass fishing can be hit or miss depending on the lake and largemouth bass are definitely considered a secondary species of fish compared to walleye on most of these lakes.  However, there if you get on some of these lakes that have some nice weeds and lily pads, these are areas that will usually hold some largemouth bass.  Many of the lakes that have largemouth bass in this area will also have some good pike fishing, so you can use spinnerbaits, in-line spinners and crankbaits to target bass and pike at the same time.  If you have good fishing conditions and you know how to target largemouth bass, you can definitely catch some nice fish on many of the lakes in the Marcell, Minnesota area.

Let’s take a look at some of the area lakes that have largemouth bass in them.
