Northern pike fishing is excellent out of the northwest angle. You can catch good numbers of them here and there are plenty of fish over 30 inches and 40 inch pike are not uncommon. You can target pike in the Minnesota or Canadian waters from the northwest angle. Fishing is good on both sides, but many of the anglers report that the better pike fishing is in Canadian waters. This area also offers a little more protection from the wind than on the south shore. Just take a look at a map and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
