Walleye can be found in large numbers in the Morson area on Lake of the Woods. Anglers usually come here to catch walleye to eat, then they fish for some of the other fish for their fighting ability. Walleye anglers won’t be disappointed here. You can catch a lot of walleye on a trip to this area. This part of Lake of the Woods has a lot of islands that allow you to get out of the wind and still catch some nice fish on windy days. The rocky shorelines provide plenty of action during the spring and early summer, but the offshore reefs will hold some of the better fish from summer through fall. Anglers catch good numbers of eater-sized walleye here with some very big walleye pushing 30 inches.
