Clouds

Cloudy days usually help to improve the fishing for largemouth bass, especially during the summer and fall.  There will typically be more largemouth bass in the shallows during the day if it stays cloudy even in the heat of the summer.  This allows the shallow water anglers to fish the banks and target all of the shallow water cover that most bass anglers love to fish.  In the middle of the summer, the bite still may be better out deep, but there will be some fish in the shallows to target.  When the fish are deep, the clouds will help to position some of these deep water fish a little shallower and they will usually be easier to catch.  Cloudy weather almost always helps to make bass fishing better.  If you can fish on an overcast day, enjoy the fishing.
