Mud fish are a bonus fish for many anglers as these fish will eat a lively shiner and they will fight like crazy. They are fun to catch when you get one on, however, most anglers are disappointed once they realize it’s a mudfish and not a bass on the end of the line. You will find them in many of the lakes in the area, so if you spend some time fishing the area lakes with live shiners, you will most likely run into one at some point.
