Lake Fork has a very good fishery for catfish, although, many anglers wouldn’t even know it. Some anglers do target catfish, but most people come here for the bass fishing. If you target them, you can catch good numbers of the and some big fish are here too. It is easiest in the early summer when they move into the shallows to spawn, but you can also find them relating to deep water structure throughout the rest of the year. They will suspend out over open water too as they feed on shad.
