Kenai, Alaska

Kenai is located where the Kenai river ends.  The adventure starts here for the thousands of fishermen that come to Alaska to fish the Kenai river.  The river starts in Sterling, Alaska and flows westward through Kenai and towards the Cook Inlet.  The Kenai river is world famous for its excellent salmon runs as well as its rainbow trout fishing.  Fishing is legendary here, but you will have to deal with the crowds.  Another option is to fish the Cook Inlet for halibut.
