Redfish are one of the most popular saltwater fish that are targeted from a kayak. Because you can catch redfish in so many different areas inshore, anglers have a lot of options when choosing to fish for them. You can find them on the large, shallow grass flats, around docks, near inlets, back in creeks and in many other different inshore areas. By using the kayak, anglers can navigate through some very shallow water to find some underfished hot spots.
Kayak fishing has even gained popularity among the fishing charters throughout the coastal areas. There are many fishing charters that guide out of the kayak or at least offer it as an option. While still very much in the minority, kayak fishing for redfish has grown tremendously over the last few years.
