Kayak fishing for crappie can be very exciting.  Getting the kayak into some rarely fished lakes or ponds can be a great way to get into some awesome crappie that are under fished. If you are fishing ponds, you should be able to find some crappie throughout the year in a kayak.  On lakes and reservoirs, you are going to have better luck finding these fish in the spring time when they are in the shallows.  Once they go deep, a fishing boat with a motor is the better way to target them.
