Crappie

Crappie are available in Kabetogama Lake, but these fish are not nearly as abundant as the other fish in this lake.  Some anglers do target them in the shallows during the spring or over deep water in the fall, but for most anglers, they are an accidental catch while fishing for bass or walleye with smaller jigs and minnows.

Yellow Perch

Perch are the most abundant species of sport fish according to the Minnesota DNR gill netting numbers.  This lake has a lot of perch in the 8 to 11 inch range with some fish in the 12 to 14 range.  Most anglers catch them while targeting walleye, however, if you want to go out and specifically target perch, you should be able to go catch some fish on Kabetogama Lake.
