Milwaukee is a large city on Lake Michigan’s western shore. It is known for its breweries with many of them offering tours that inform visitors about their role in the beer industry. Milwaukee is a great port for fishing. The salmon and trout fishing is very good out of this port and there are a bunch of fishing charters that are available. This port is a little unique because at times, there are so many fish stacked up in the harbor that anglers will cast lures for salmon and trout instead of trolling. Still fishing is also very popular in the harbor with spawn sac. This harbor has become one of the best cold water destinations to fish for brown trout in the midwest and as it has grown in popularity, it still is putting out some impressive catches year after year. For the shore anglers, you can fish the harbor or the Milwaukee River. It’s an awesome destination for salmon and trout.
