Some of the most popular areas to fish in Lake County are the Harris Chain of Lakes, Lake George, the Clermont Chain of Lakes, Holly Chain of Lakes and the St. John’s River. Big bass are very common in Lake County with 10 pound bass caught every year and 5 to 7 pound bass being fairly common.
The chain of lakes consists of 20 lakes that range from 200 acres to 44,000 acres. Some of the top lakes to fish on this chain are Lake Kissimmee, West and East Lake Toho, Lake Hatchineha and Lake Cypress. Bass fishing is excellent on the chain with lots of 3 to 5 pound fish and many over 10 pounds.
