Muskie


Muskie are not found in many waters in this part of Wisconsin, however, anglers do have success here on the flowages and there are some very big fish in the river systems up here.


Brule River Flowage


Brule River Flowage is a 297 acre lake located in Florence County.  It has a maximum depth of 64 feet.  Fish include smallmouth bass, walleye, muskie, northern pike, largemouth bass and panfish.  According to the DNR, walleye and smallmouth bass are considered common in the lake while muskie, largemouth bass, northern pike and panfish are listed as present.



Kingsford Flowage


The Kingsford Flowage Wi-Mi (491) is along the Menominee River.  It covers 491 acres and is located in Florence County.  It has a maximum depth of 32 feet.  Fish include walleye, muskie, northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and panfish.  According to the DNR, northern pike and walleye are considered common in the lake while the other species of fish are listed as present.



Twin Falls Flowage


Twin Falls Flowage is a 570 acre lake located in Florence County.  It has a maximum depth of 50 feet.  Fish include muskie, walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and panfish.  According to the DNR, all the species listed are common in the lake except for muskie, which are listed as present.
