Jigs work well for a variety of fish. Bucktail jigs are probably the most popular jigs for fishing in saltwater. Bladed swim jigs are gaining in popularity as they are very effective for redfish, speckled trout and many other inshore fish. A simple jighead tipped with shrimp, live bait fish, cut bait or soft plastics will also catch plenty of saltwater fish. Jigs work great in shallow water, deep water and around many different types of cover.
