Santee Cooper Lakes

Santee Cooper Lakes are located just a short drive from Charleston, SC .  Because they are so close, we combined these lakes with the Charleston, SC destination.  These lakes are home to both Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie.  Lake Marion is the largest lake in South Carolina, covering over 100,000 acres.  It is one of the Santee Cooper Lakes and it is known for its excellent catfish fishery.  The crappie fishing is also very good, but this lake really stands out for its catfish.  Fish in the 10 to 20 pound range are common and there are many fishing guides that can take you out for some incredible fishing.

Lake Murray

Lake Murray is a large lake covering over 50,000 acres.  The lake is a major recreational destination in South Carolina.  There are numerous fishing tournaments held throughout the year and there are plenty of places for a recreational fishermen to launch a boat.  Fishing guides, boat rentals and marinas can be found here to make your trip more enjoyable.  Lake Murray is known for its excellent striped bass fishing to go along with other species such as largemouth bass, crappie and other panfish.

Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head Island is located in the southern part of South Carolina about 20 miles north of Savannah, Georgia.  The island is a very popular vacation destination with 12 miles of beachfront and numerous golf courses.  Hilton Head Island is known more as a golf destination than a fishing destination, but the fishing is excellent here as well.
