Fishing Tips

The Northwest Angle is an awesome fishing destination.  Depending on where you fish, you can easily target all of the species of fish that make the Lake of the Woods so awesome.  You can find smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, muskie, perch and crappie.  It’s an incredible fishery and you won’t find the crowds here.  It won’t be hard at all to find water all to yourself in the Northwest Angle.  You do need to factor in that you are in U.S. waters and many anglers will cross over to the Canadian side to do some fishing.  You need to do your research to see how it works for the border crossing here in the Northwest Angle.  It’s different than other areas where you would cross by plane or car.  Take a look at our Northwest Angle Fishing Tips page for more fishing information.
