Candlewood Lake is the only destination we are listing in our top fishing destinations for Connecticut. Just because this state doesn’t have more options doesn’t mean that this is a bad option. You can catch a variety of fish here and the smallmouth bass fishing is off the charts good on this lake. Largemouth bass can be very good too combined with some trout and other species mixed in.
