Many anglers head to Canada for a fishing trip each summer. The open water fishing season is not as long in Canada because of the colder weather. For most anglers, June through September are the months to plan a fishing trip to Canada. Some fishing resorts will open in May and some will stay open through October and even into the beginning of November. Ice fishing is available throughout the country and there are enough fishing resorts available that you can definitely plan a fishing trip here in the winter, but it definitely isn’t the peak fishing season.
