Welcome to Our Burnett County, WI Fishing Home Page
Burnett County, Wisconsin is home to some of the best largemouth bass fishing in the state of Wisconsin. This area has so many smaller lakes to fish that it will be very hard for you to put a game plan together as far as which lakes you should fish. Most of them have very good largemouth bass fishing. Some have good northern pike fishing and panfish too. You can find some walleye and muskie here too, but it is definitely a better largemouth bass and northern pike destination.

Primary Species of Fish
Most anglers come here to target largemouth bass and northern pike. Whether you are fishing the small lakes or the bigger lakes here, you are going to find a lot of largemouth bass in most of the lakes up here. Many of the lakes will have good numbers of smaller largemouth bass, but anglers do catch some in the 3 to 5 pound range as well. For northern pike, you have so many options. They are in most lakes in the area here and anglers do report catching some quality pike in the low to mid 30 inch range.
Secondary Species of Fish
There are quite a few lakes here that are home to muskie and smallmouth bass, but they are here in limited numbers. The lakes that offer better muskie fishing will get a decent amount of fishing pressure also, so they won’t be easy to catch. Smallmouth bass are very limited here, so most anglers won’t come here to target them specifically. Walleye are available, but in smaller numbers on most of the area lakes. Panfish are in just about every lake in the area, but you’re going to find mostly smaller panfish, so plan on doing some sorting if you’re looking to take some fish home for a meal.
