I headed down to Kentucky Lake for a couple of days to test out how well the new setup was going to work on my boat. I found a way to rig 2 video cameras to my boat, which solves my problem of not having the budget for a videographer. I did have to buy a new HD video camera, but that’s a small price to pay to be able to video tape whenever I get the chance to be on the water.
I thought I’d have 2 full days to fish, but that just didn’t happen. I spent a lot of time playing around with the new tripod setup at various speeds to make sure I’m not going to dump my 2 HD video cameras into the lake. I did end up getting a lot of video for my new “Tour the Lake” part of this site where I will have a Google Map with GPS points on the map and a short video to go along with what the shoreline looks like in that specific spot.
I did end up catching over 15 bass, although, most of the bass were smaller smallmouth bass on the east side of the lake. The water levels were very low and many of the obvious spots to target largemouth bass were very unproductive. I will end up spending a lot more time down here at some point throughout this year.
